“I’ve been using AHEAD Drumsticks since 1992 and I can honestly say I’ll never use another brand! If you’re a drummer and need some sticks, I promise AHEAD has what you’re looking for.”

Jamie S. Dyer was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on February 20, 1977 and, like so many aspiring musicians, his love for music developed at a very early age. Growing up as an evangelical minister’s son, Jamie’s first gigs were played in his fathers’ many churches alongside his mother who played the piano. “Coming up playing in such an extremely loose and free flowing environment helped me to develop my feel for music.” Jamie continued to build on that foundation as he toured the world with his parents as they committed to mission work overseas. Between the ages of 8 and 13, Jamie played in almost every environment imaginable in countries such as Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Once back in the United States, it didn’t take long for Jamie to seek out and form musical bonds. In high school, he and a few friends founded the local Christian rock band Azariah. From 1992 to 1996 Azariah shared the stage with countless up and coming local artists. The most noteworthy of these bands being Disciple. In February of 1997 Jamie made the decision to put his dream of being a musician on hold in order to serve his country in the United States Air Force. After almost 10 years of service and countless jam bands with fellow service members Jamie found his way back home. More importantly, it was finally time for him to re-establish himself as a musician. Jamie founded the band Theory of Thieves during the revitalization of the rock/metal scene in the Knoxville area. Understanding a drummers need to stay versatile, Jamie also played with country artists Southern Swagger and regional blues Phenom guitarist Jonny “Monster” Klenck and continues to collaborate with former bandmates on independent studio projects.

Currently Jamie can be heard laying down the foundation for the band Transparent Soul who just recently released their first EP entitled “Proving Ground” which was produced by Travis Wyrick. With a soon to be announced video release, a full length album in pre-production, and tour dates being planned for 2017, Transparent Soul’s calendar is filling up fast. Sharing the stage with bands like Seasons of Me, SuperBob, Smile Empty Soul, Random Hero, and Ilia, Transparent Soul is rapidly building their reputation as a “must see” act. You can find updates on Transparent Soul on their website and, as always, follow them on social media.
